About us
Spacelocker.com is inspired by the high school locker.
A locker is a personal space. It is a place to express oneself, a place to keep personal things, to meet friends, to show friendship. Spacelocker.com brings these experiences to cyberspace. It is a single place you can personalize, meet and interact with friends, and access and organize online stuff.
The concept is to have a place for internet users to access their favourite websites, their friends, their communication tools, and some of their already uploaded pictures, videos, and music. Open Social APIs are used to import significant social, video, picture, music, and gaming networks into the users’ locker.
Peppercorn Ltd., a leading British-based website development company has led the website design and development.
The design of Spacelocker.com looks like a locker. Once signed up (free) a user “goes inside” to a 3 shelf locker. On the shelves are icons that represent a profile of the user and things a person would normally find inside a locker. There is also an icon that enables users to personalize their space with a variety of themes. And there is a gift box where the user may find free virtual gifts from their friends. All these icons allow users to access the Internet for related activities. On the open door of the locker are other functions.
The Meet Me At My Locker icon, situated on the top locker shelf, functions like a meeting place at the lockers. Here users first go to a Meeting Place page where they can see a group of other users, close friends, newly signed up users, and users who are currently at their lockers. From this meeting place the user can interact with friends individually by connecting to and communicating with them in a variety of unique ways.
